Robbie Wade
2011 is Robbie's first year as a pro triathlete. A longtime runner, Robbie ran for Ireland as a junior at the European Cross Country Championships and first came to the states for college on a running scholarship. In college, he ran 14:26 for the 5k and 30:06 for the 10k. He was a two time NCAA Championship qualifier in cross country.
In 2009, he made the shift to multisport. That year, he won Powerman Florida. In 2010, Robbie was the 2nd overall amateur at both the New York City Triathlon and Columbia, finishing faster than most pros. Robbie qualified for the 70.3 World Championships in Clearwater where he took 3rd on the strength of a 2:07 bike. Robbie also qualified and raced in the 2010 U.S. Open in Dallas.
