I was a little dizzy when I finished IM St. George, which I guess was appropriate.  When I registered, I was so dizzy I could barely ride my bike.  Last August, I picked up an exotic virus in my inner ear in Borneo.  The manic motivation from the prescribed meds proved to be the push I needed to sign up for my first full Ironman.

It's never easy.

A week before the race, I took my bike into the shop for a quick tune-up.  I thought things were working fine.  The mechanic noticed that the derailleur was really loose.  He tried to tighten it and then realized the threads were stripped.  Since the Cervelo is a single piece of manufactured carbon, the only way to fix this small issue was to ship the entire frame back to Cervelo.
